Hi, I have a Vaio Notebook model VPCSE2C5E that I bought some 4 years ago (approx) directly from Sony, with Windows 7 factory installed. Recently, under continuous messaging/prompts from Windows to upgrade to Windows 10 for free, I took the plunge and upgraded to Windows 10. perhaps to my regret. Now the screen is dimmiing continuously even within 2 seconds of my manually adjusting the brightness.
In the past, that works under Windos 7, but now it does not work. I adjusted the the Adaptive brigtness to 'off', to no avail. How I can fix this problem once and for all as it is affecting my work. Also I read in a previous message on the forum that you do not recommend upgrading from Windows 7 to Windows 10. If this is the case with me, should I go back to Windows 7 ( can I, and how??). When you upgraded the operating system, you also need to update the drivers. Unfortunately, we do not have Windows 10 drivers for Windows 7 pre-installed units. Although your Vaio VPCSE2C5E is a non-U.S.
Model, but as far as I know, there's no Win10 driver for this unit. However, you can still go back to the previous version of OS as long as the unit is still within 30-day after the upgrade.
